Prestige Club of Nigeria Holds July 2025 Monthly Meeting

Prestige Club Warri 15 July, 2025

The Prestige Club of Nigeria held its monthly meeting for July on Sunday, 13th July 2025, at the residence of Prestigian Chief Moses Uparan JP. The gathering was marked by deliberations on key club matters, updates, and shared fellowship among members.

Meeting Highlights

1. Opening Prayer

The meeting commenced with an opening prayer led by Prestigian Louis Obukowho.

2. Reading and Adoption of Previous Minutes

The Secretary, Prestigian Segun Olanipekun, read the minutes of the previous meeting. After a few corrections, the minutes were adopted following a motion moved by Prestigian Ola Johnson.

3. Messages

The Vice President, Prestigian Pius E.W., delivered brief messages addressing the importance of commitment to club responsibilities.

Matters Arising from the Minutes

  • Membership Updates:
    • The President, Prestigian Afi Titus Akpan, informed the house that there was still no feedback from Prestigian Adeleye regarding his membership status.
    • Clarification was also sought regarding Prestigian Enakpoya’s position as the Club’s PRO, considering he has been out of the country for over a year.
  • Financial Matters:
    • Monthly dues are now officially set at ₦2,000, as agreed at the June 2025 meeting.
    • Plate wash has been fixed at ₦1,500, with ₦20,000 to be given to the host’s spouse.
    • Members were reminded to pay their dues and plate wash contributions, which remain compulsory whether present or not.
  • Concerns Raised:
    • The President expressed displeasure at the inconsistent contributions toward the plate wash, which has often led the Club to dip into its funds to cover the shortfall.
    • Outstanding marriage benefits to Prestigians Alex Amudo and Ola Johnson remain unresolved.

4. Problems and Prospects

The Club expressed gratitude to God for sparing the life of Prestigian Dr. Brown Ogbeifun, the immediate past president, who was recently involved in a road accident. Although his car sustained damage, no life was lost. We give all glory to God.

5. Adjournment

The motion to adjourn the meeting was moved by Prestigian Ola Johnson.

6. Closing Prayer

Prestigian Segun Jasper Oki led the closing prayer.

7. Entertainment

The host, Chief Moses Uparan, and his family warmly entertained all members present.

8. Next Host

The next meeting will be hosted by Prestigian Ola Johnson.
