The Prestige Club of Nigeria held its October 2025 Monthly General Meeting on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at the residence of Prestigian Tarakeme.
The meeting commenced at 1:10 PM with an opening prayer led by Prestigian P.E.R. Obire. The President, Prestigian Afi Titus Akpan, welcomed all members warmly, expressing gratitude for God’s continued guidance and praying for His sustenance throughout the remaining part of the year.
Highlights of the Meeting
1. End-of-Year Party 2025
Members deliberated extensively on the proposal for the upcoming End-of-Year Party.
The proposed budget for drinks, venue, decorations, and souvenirs for spouses (excluding food) amounted to ₦1,352,000.
To reduce costs and promote inclusivity, members suggested that spouses should handle the food preparation instead of hiring a caterer. Consequently, the club resolved to delay disbursement of funds for food until the November meeting, after discussions with the women.
A ₦50,000 levy per member (for 20 members) was approved, totaling ₦1,000,000.
In addition, members recalled that ₦450,000 had been pledged at the August meeting held at Prestigian Ola Johnson’s residence. Members who have not yet made pledges were encouraged to do so.
The President, Prestigian Afi Titus Akpan, urged all members to pay their levies and pledges promptly to ensure smooth execution of the end-of-year celebrations.
Closing
The meeting ended at 5:45 PM with a closing prayer offered by Prestigian Elder P.E.R. Obire.
The host, Prestigian Tarakeme, graciously entertained members with delicious food and refreshing drinks, creating a warm and convivial atmosphere.
The next meeting will be hosted by Prestigian Louis Obukowho.
