The Prestige Club of Nigeria, Warri Chapter, held its Monthly General Meeting for April 2025 on Sunday, April 13th, at the residence of the club’s Welfare Secretary, Prestigian Victor Sadoh.
The meeting was marked by camaraderie, brotherhood, and important deliberations concerning club affairs. Below are the key highlights from the gathering:
Opening
The meeting began with an opening prayer led by Prestigian Louis Obukowho, setting the tone for a reflective and productive session.
Burial Ceremonies
Two members will be honoring their late fathers-in-law with burial ceremonies:
- Prestigian Kenneth Nwaomucha – The burial of his late father-in-law will take place in Ndemili on Saturday, April 19th, 2025.
- VP Prestigian Pius Evbuomwan – The burial of his late father-in-law is scheduled for Saturday, May 10th, 2025, in Otuo, Edo State.
Member Obligations
Members were reminded to fulfill their financial obligations to ensure the smooth running of club activities.
Transportation Plans
The house unanimously agreed to hire a vehicle for both burial trips. Notably:
- The cost of the vehicle will be shared equally among all members, regardless of attendance.
- Attendance is mandatory, except in cases of valid health reasons.
Easter Get-Together with Prestigians’ Wives
A special invitation has been extended to the club by the wives of Prestigians for a Get-Together on Easter Monday, April 21st, 2025, at the NNPC Senior Staff Club. Members are encouraged to attend and honour the gesture.
Closing
The meeting concluded with a heartfelt closing prayer by Prestigian Ola Johnson.
Entertainment & Hospitality
The host, Prestigian Victor Sadoh, warmly entertained the club. In line with tradition, the plate wash was collected and presented to his wife as a token of appreciation from the club.
Next Meeting
The next general meeting will be hosted by Prestigian Andrew Atikpo. Members are expected to stay informed and prepare accordingly.
